Cocktail Appies Egg

It started out as a dinner party. Aimeesspoo friends Steve and Domonick (and their adorable schnoodle, Sophie) have relocated to the Bay Area from China City, and we wanted to show them off. But why have a dinner party when you can have a lovely cocktail party with heavy hors d'oeuvres? Vodka is a vegetable, sweetie. It's made from potatoes.

You know where needs wine?

Aimeesspoo. Actually, I needs a shoulder to cry on. I needs a lot of things. I needs someone to dance with her daughters. I needs the peace of mind that comes from a happy, stable home. I needs her husband. But he's gone.

Ladybug Crostini

I started out with two baguettes that I had the bakery lady slice for me.
If you’ve ever tried to slice a fresh baguette, you know the smushed up mess you end up.
They have a machine that does it in minutes.

Artichoke

I loved this pasta dish.  Loved it.  It is one of the best things I have cooked in awhile.  The ricotta cheese sauce might seem like it would be heavy, but it wasn't at all.   And the white wine added an amazing flavor - do not skip it!  And while we are on the topic of wine, I am not a white wine drinker, so I like to keep little single size servings of white wine in my pantry for recipes that call for it.

Tanganyika

The scene is Tanzania, specifically Tarangire National park and Serengeti. I hosting recently did a little safari there that had me in the midst of all these country dwellers. I got to be within 10 meters of this giant elephant that was upset at a group of tourists that was talking loud and taking pictures so he charged, my heart skipped. More for fear than bravery, I just sat down and kept shooting(those photos you shall see later). One of the days while walking in the evening from dinner to my room, a buffalo is chilling on the road, I bargained for a minute on whether he would notice me but decided not to bargain and went back to dinner till I found some braver(or stupider) men to walk with.
All in all it was a lovely experience that I hope you shall enjoy via these few photos.
